abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene resin composition giving a molded article containing uniform foam cells. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a polypropylene resin composition for expansion molding containing (A) 50-90 wt.% of a propylene polymer, (B) 5-20 wt.% of the following olefinic polymer and (C) 5-30 wt.% of the following ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and having a melt index of 40-200 g/10 min as measured at 230°C under a load of 2.16 kg (the sum of A, B and C is 100 wt.%). The olefinic polymer (B) is produced by heat-treating 100 pts.wt. of a mixture of (b1) 25-100 wt.% of a propylene-ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and (b4) 0-75 wt.% of at least one kind of propylene polymer selected from (b2) a propylene homopolymer and (b3) a propylene-ethylene copolymer, in the presence of (b5) 0.001-20 pts.wt. of an organic peroxide based on 100 pts.wt. of the mixture of (b1) and (b4), and having a melt-index of 10-100 g/10 min as measured at 230°C under a load of 2.16 kg. The α-olefin (b1) has a carbon number of 4-20, a molecular weight distribution of 1-4 and a heat of fusion of ≤30 J/g.
