abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element which has a simple member constitution, can be driven by a low voltage and has a small change in characteristics during repeated driving. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the electrochemical display element, which has an electrolytic solution containing at least a silver salt compound between a pair of counter electrodes disposed respectively on an observation side and on a non-observation side, has the steps of: depositing a silver thin film 5 on at least one of the pair of counter electrodes; and applying an electric field between the pair of counter electrodes to form deposited silver 7, 8 on the electrode opposed to the silver thin film-deposited electrode while dissolving the silver thin film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
