titleOfInvention | Method for producing lactic acid |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing lactic acid.
SOLUTION: Microorganisms in which the activity of one or more enzymes selected from among chorismate pyruvate-lyase, 2-octaprenyl-6-methoxy-1,4-benzoquinone methylase, 3-dimethylubiquinone 3-methyltransferase, and 2-polyprenyl-6-methoxyphenol hydroxylase is lowered or lost and which have an ability to produce lactic acid are cultured in a culture medium with a ≤2 μmol/l iron content to produce and accumulate lactic acid in the culture product. The resultant lactic acid is then collected from the culture product.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
