titleOfInvention | Method for producing polymer electrolyte membrane |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymer electrolyte material and a polymer electrolyte membrane having excellent proton conductivity under low humidification conditions and capable of achieving long-term power generation durability when used in a solid polymer type fuel cell.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the polymer electrolyte membrane obtained by the desalting polycondensation of a diol monomer containing a hydrolyzable group and an ionic group and a dihalide monomer includes the steps of: (1) heating a diol containing a hydrolyzable diol monomer and a dihalide monomer together with a basic compound to obtain an electrolyte prepolymer solution; (2) adding specific mol% amounts of a diol monomer containing an ionic group and a dihalide monomer containing an ionic group to the electrolyte prepolymer solution, followed by heating and dehydrating the mixture to obtain an electrolyte polymer solution; (3) subjecting the electrolyte polymer solution to solid-liquid separation to form a coating liquid; (4) applying the coating liquid on a substrate by casting to form a coating film; and (5) bringing the film-like material into contact with an acidic aqueous solution to form the polymer electrolyte membrane.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
