titleOfInvention | Method for producing carboxylic acid |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carboxylic acid from an aqueous solution of a crude carboxylic acid containing a carboxylic acid amide as an impurity, especially a method for improving the quality of the finally produced carboxylic acid by converting into an ammonium carboxylate the carboxylic acid amide contained as a reaction byproduct in the aqueous solution of the crude carboxylic acid obtained by desalting an aqueous solution of ammonium carboxylate obtained by the hydrolysis of a nitrile compound.
SOLUTION: The aqueous solution of the high-quality carboxylic acid can be obtained by bringing the aqueous solution of the crude carboxylic acid containing the carboxylic acid amide as the impurity into contact with a solid acid catalyst to hydrolyze the carboxylic acid amide. Especially, the hydrolysis of the carboxylic acid amide can efficiently be carried out by decreasing the ammonium carboxylate corresponding to the carboxylic acid contained in the aqueous solution of the crude carboxylic acid.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
