abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference electrode, a potential measuring system and a potential difference measuring method capable of measuring a blood component with sufficient accuracy even when micronization of a measuring solution is performed. <P>SOLUTION: An ion selection electrode, according to circumstances, an ion selection electrode to positive ion or an ion selection electrode to a small quantity of ion included in a sample, is used as a reference electrode, and a potential difference between the reference electrode and a measuring electrode in contact with the measuring solution is measured.
