abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a concentrated phorbol ester by which the phorbol ester concentrated to a high concentration can be produced from a vegetable oil and fat containing the phorbol ester. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the concentrated phorbol ester includes: an esterification step (A) of esterifying a fatty acid in the vegetable oil and fat containing the phorbol ester with a lower alkyl alcohol using at least a cation exchange resin, and affording a reaction mixture containing an ester mixed oil having ≤2 mg-KOH/g acid value; a step (B) of separating the layer of the lower alkyl alcohol from the ester mixed oil; and a step (C) of concentrating the resultant layer of the lower alcohol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
