abstract | A light-emitting device comprises an LED element that radiates light with a prescribed wavelength; and a wavelength conversion unit further comprising phosphors that are excited by light radiated from the LED element and radiate fluorescence with a wavelength different from the excited wavelength. A method of manufacturing the light-emitting device is provided with: a process for jetting out phosphor dispersion liquid (44), which comprises the phosphors and layer-formed silicate minerals, towards the LED element from a spray apparatus (80), and coating the LED element therewith; a process, after the process for coating the phosphor dispersion liquid (44) onto the LED element, for jetting out precursor solution (42) comprising organometallic compound towards the LED element from a spray apparatus (30), and coating the LED element therewith; and a process for heating the LED element that was coated with the phosphor dispersion liquid (44) and the precursor solution (42), to form the wavelength conversion unit. |
