abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide recording ink having excellent fixability onto a recording medium, image density and long storage stability of the ink, forming a high quality image not only on regular paper and paper for inkjet but also on coated paper for commercial printing with a poor water absorbing property, a recording method and a recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The recording ink contains at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a surfactant and carbon black having a hydrophilic group at the surface, wherein the detection amount of the fumic acid eluted in a 20 wt.% dispersion of the carbon black is 5.0 to 20.0 based on the maximum light absorbance measured at a 230 to 260 nm wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
