abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method excellent in smear resistance, a pretreatment liquid used thereof, and a set of the pretreatment liquid and inkjet recording ink. <P>SOLUTION: (1) In the method for forming the image, a recording medium surface is pretreated by using the pretreatment liquid containing water and a coagulant for the inkjet recording ink and then an image is formed on the recording medium surface by using the inkjet recording ink containing water and a pigment. At least one between the pretreatment liquid and the inkjet recording ink contains fluoroethylene/vinyl ether alternating copolymer. (2) In a set of the pretreatment liquid for a recording medium and the inkjet recording ink, the pretreatment liquid for the recording medium contains water, the coagulant for the inkjet recording ink and the fluoroethylene/vinyl ether alternating copolymer and the inkjet recording ink contains water, the pigment and the fluoroethylene/vinyl ether alternating copolymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
