titleOfInvention Fiber sheet manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method
abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber sheet having excellent absorbability of a liquid such as water, a method for easily producing the fiber sheet and an apparatus therefor.
SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for producing the fiber sheet includes an opening unit 2 to open a crimped fiber (e.g. a fiber obtained by preparatorily opening a crimped cellulose acetate fiber) with a compressed gas and a forming unit 3 to form the opened fiber 10 obtained by the opening unit in the form of a sheet. The opening unit includes an opened part 5a to allow the passage of the crimped fiber, an opening chamber 6 having an inner diameter larger than the opened part 5a, extended in the downstream direction and having an elliptic or circular cross-section, and a discharging port 9 to allow the passage of the opened fiber opened in the opening chamber with a compressed gas. The fiber sheet produced by the apparatus is suitable as an absorbent for a sanitary material such as a disposable diaper and a sanitary napkin.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
