abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona charger capable of suppressing contamination of an environment and a charged body by reducing an amount of discharge products generated by discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The corona charger 1 includes a corona discharge electrode and a charging grid 6, wherein the charging grid has a layer containing a zeolite, a conductive agent and a binder resin formed thereon, and a means for heating the charging grid 6 is included. Metal oxides, such as activated carbon, tin oxide, antimonic acid zinc, are usable as the conductive agent.
