abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid which can produce a recorded article having an excellent scratch-resistance without spoiling the paper originated feeling by using the coating liquid when recording is performed by the inkjet method, and also, to provide an inkjet recording method which can form an excellent image, and to provide an inkjet recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This coating liquid is used for the inkjet recording method including an image forming process and a coating layer forming process. In this case, in the image forming process, an image is formed on a recording medium by the inkjet method by using an ink containing at least a pigment. In the coating layer forming process, a coating layer the film thickness of which at least at a part is from 0.10 μm to 1.0 μm is formed by applying the coating layer to a region including at least the image. The coating liquid contains at least a slipping compound, water and a water-soluble organic solvent.
