abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sealing apparatus which does not need a transfer mechanism for an adhesive agent and a turning-up mechanism for a flap.
SOLUTION: The sealing apparatus includes an envelope holding portion 3 holding the envelope 2 on which a heat-activatable adhesive agent is applied, with a flap turned up, a heat-activating portion 7 activating the heat-activatable adhesive agent while the envelope 2 sent out of the envelope holding portion 3 with the flap side turned to the head is held and conveyed, flap-raising means arranged on the downstream of the heat-activating portion 7 to raise the flap and expose the heat-activatable adhesive agent when the envelope 2 is conveyed in the opposite direction, and a press-bonding portion 8 press-bonding the turned-up flap to the body of the envelope. After the sent out envelope 2 is conveyed until the flap passes through the flap-raising means completely, the flap 21 is raised by conveying the envelope in the opposite direction, and the heat-activatable adhesive agent is activated. The flap is press-bonded to the body of the envelope by using the activated heat-activatable adhesive agent.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
