abstract <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior insulating material for a communication cable which contains a cyclic olefin system resin, a cable core wire using the insulating material, and a twisted pair cable. <P>SOLUTION: The insulating material for the communication cable for covering the outer circumference of a core wire conductor contains (A) a cyclic olefin system resin, (B) an elastomer resin, and (C) a polyethylene resin.
