titleOfInvention | Endless belt for electrophotographic equipment |
abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless belt for an electrophotographic apparatus, which can suppress occurrence of partial deficiency of images and also occurrence of white spots. <P>SOLUTION: The endless belt for the electrophotographic apparatus has a surface layer 2 formed on the surface of a substrate layer 1 directly or via another layer. The surface layer 2 is formed of a surface layer material including as its main component at least one selected from a group consisting of an acrylic resin, urethane resin, and alkyd resin. In addition, the content of the main constituent is set to 50 to 80 wt.% of the surface material (solid content) and has all the characteristics (A) to (D) given below. (A) Surface resistivity of the belt surface lies in the range of 1×10<SP>11</SP>to 1×10<SP>13</SP>(Ω/square). (B) Variation in the surface resistance of the belt surface is 0.3 digits or lower. (C) The average triboelectric charge quantity of the surface material to toner obtained by a blow-off electrification quantity measuring method lies in the range of 50 to 90(-μC/g). (D) The coefficient of static friction of the belt surface lies in the range of 0.20 to 0.60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
