abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual sense recovery aid capable of disposing a bulk electrode with high density on a board.
SOLUTION: The aid for promoting visual sense recovery is provided with: an electrode array for disposing a plurality of electrodes 44 on a prescribed board 43 in a grid shape; a control means for outputting an electric stimulus pulse signal from the electrode via a conducting wire so as to give electric stimuli to cells or tissues comprising an optic nerve system which forms visual sense of a patient; a conducting wire for joining the control means to the electrodes so as to transmit the electric stimulus pulse signal from the control means to the electrodes. In the visual sense recovery aid, the conducting wires are linearly arranged on the board, and the electrode array is formed inclined at a prescribed angle against the conducting wires so that a disposition axial line L for a plurality of electrodes arranging in single file in the direction the conducting wires move from the control means side and an axial line 41 of the conducting wires linearly arranged cross at a prescribed angle θ.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
