abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method, improving the production efficiency, and easily manufacturing a toner having superior low-temperature fixability and offset ability, and further enlarged fixing temperature range to obtain high gloss. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing toner for developing static charge images, at least includes: a process of heating, melting and kneading binder resin, radiation crosslink monomer compatible with the binder resin and a coloring agent; a process of forming a thin film of the kneaded material, obtained by kneading to have a film thickness equal to or more than an average particle diameter of toner and 12 μm or less; a process of applying radial rays to the thin film obtained by the above thin-film formation, at a temperature equal to or lower than the glass transition point of the kneaded material +5°C or more and +30°C or less to bridge the radiation crosslink monomer; and a process of grinding and classifying the thin film subjected to application of radial rays to obtain toner particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
