abstract <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of vibration in a vehicle when switching a vehicle traveling state by a motor generator 10 to a vehicle traveling state by an engine 20. <P>SOLUTION: A starter 22 is started to start an engine 20 when requested power reaches a threshold value larger, and then a request for being switched from traveling by the motor generator 10 to traveling by the engine 20 is generated. When the start of the engine 20 is completed by making the rotational speed of the engine 20 follow target rotational speed in idling, a clutch 18 is engaged. By this, an output of the motor generator 10 is gradually decreased to zero, and an output of the engine 20 is gradually increased to the requested power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&amp;INPIT
