titleOfInvention Nematic liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device using the same
abstract The present invention relates to a nematic liquid crystal composition having a negative dielectric anisotropy (Δε) useful as a liquid crystal display material and a liquid crystal display device using the same. The liquid crystal composition of the present invention has a large absolute value of dielectric anisotropy and a low viscosity, and a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition has a high contrast and a high speed response as well as display quality that does not cause image sticking or display defects. An excellent liquid crystal display element can be provided. The liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention is useful for achieving both high-speed response and suppression of display failure, and is particularly useful for a liquid crystal display device for active matrix driving, such as VA type and PSVA type. It can be applied to the liquid crystal display element. [Selection figure] None
