abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display wherein bright display can be performed without using a backlight and the response speed is high. SOLUTION: Bright display can be realized by using a nematic liquid crystal composition to which dichroic dye is added to dispense with a polarizing plate, the response speed is improved by driving the bend-aligned nematic liquid crystal composition and the bend alignment is stabilized by forming a cured matter of a polymerizable composition in a cell. |
