abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formed article having sufficient strength by the use of only a small amount of an adhesive, a method for producing the formed article and an interior part for automobile having excellent sound-absorbing property and impact energy absorbing property and produced by using the formed article.
SOLUTION: The formed article having excellent sound-absorbing property and impact energy absorbing property and usable for interior parts for automobile, etc., is produced by drying and hardening a mixture containing granules such as chaff and a soft material obtained by gelling a liquid mixture of an adhesive and water or introducing bubbles into the liquid mixture to inhibit the spontaneous flow of the liquid. Particularly, the soft material is a gelatinized aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol. The liquid mixture may further contain silica powder having a particle diameter of ≤500 μm. The method for producing the formed article comprises the freezing, thawing, heating and drying of a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol, a granular material and water.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
