titleOfInvention Image forming apparatus and process cartridge
abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus exhibiting favorable cleaning performance in a durable lifetime even in various environments from low temperature and low humidity to high temperature and high humidity, and to provide a process cartridge that can be used for the image forming apparatus.
SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an electrophotographic photoreceptor and a cleaning means for cleaning off a toner remaining on the electrophotographic photoreceptor with an elastic blade, and is characterized in that: a plurality of concave portions each independent are formed on the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, the area ratio of apertures of the concave portions ranges from 70% to 95%; and the angle of the elastic blade with respect to the electrophotographic photoreceptor at a contact portion between the electrophotographic photoreceptor and the elastic blade is set to from 30° to 80°. The process cartridge is detachably attached to the main body of the image forming apparatus.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
