abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method capable of producing a stable sugar-coated tablet without using sucrose as a saccharide and without using gelatin as a binder. After uncoated tablets are coated with a water-insoluble protein extracted from corn, crystalline maltitol, powdered maltitol and reduced starch syrup are used as sugar for sugar coating, and pulling is used as a binder. A stable sugar-less non-gelatin sugar-coated tablet is obtained by a sugar-coating process comprising (subcoating), mid-coating (smoothing), top-coating (finishing), and polishing (polishing).
