abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing toner having excellent cleaning properties and also capable of improving a yield upon the production of toner. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing toner comprises: a granulation step where an organic solvent phase composed of a toner composition at least including a binding resin and/or a monomer for a binding resin is emulsified and/or dispersed into a water base medium phase, so as to granulate toner; and a classification step for classifying the toner for obtaining toner with prescribed particle diameters; wherein fine powder as the toner with particle diameters smaller than the above prescribed particle diameters removed by the above classification step when the above toner is produced in an another lot is mixed into the water base medium phase.
