titleOfInvention | Charging device, image forming apparatus, and charging method for image carrier |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying device which has a means not only for removing toner left after transfer on the surface of an image carrier by electric attraction but also for electrifying the image carrier, and whose efficiency of removing the toner left after transfer is not lowered even when processing speed is increased.
SOLUTION: The electrifying device includes: a first electrifying brush which comes into contact with the image carrier that has a photoreceptive layer coated part and a photoreceptive layer non-coated part and on the photoreceptive layer coated part of which a toner image is formed, and to which bias having the same polarity as that of potential by electrification of the toner left after transfer is applied; a second electrifying brush which is arranged more in the moving direction of the image carrier from the first electrifying brush and comes into contact with the photoreceptive layer coated part and the photoreceptive layer non-coated part of the image carrier; and a collecting roller to which bias having a reverse polarity to that of the potential by electrification of the toner left after transfer is applied so as to collect the toner adhering to the second electrifying brush.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
