abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic comprising a gellant that can gelify a silicone oil, a non-polar organic compound and a low-polar organic compound without jointly using water. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises as the gellant an organopolysiloxane having an organic group represented by general formula (1) bonded to a silicon atom. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>is a metal salt of a carboxylic acid represented by the formula: -COO<SP>-</SP>(M<SP>n+</SP>)<SB>1/n</SB>(wherein M is a monovalent or higher valent metal; and n is the valence of M); X is a 2-14C bivalent hydrocarbon group; and p is an integer of 0-10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
