abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychloroprene latex which can be produced in improved productivity and mechanical stability and can improve adhesive strength, when used as an adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: This polychloroprene latex is obtained by adding at least one of a polyoxyethylene polycyclic phenyl ether and an alkyl diphenyl ether disulfonate to a chloroprene polymer obtained by copolymerizing chloroprene monomer with an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid in the presence of a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate.
