abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radical-polymerizable sulfur-containing compound and a radical-polymerizable sulfur-containing polymer which give a useful cured product having a high refractive index as an optical material especially as lens. <P>SOLUTION: The radical-polymerizable sulfur-containing compound comprises a group having a sulfur-containing heterocyclic 5-membered ring and at least one unsaturated group. The radical-polymerizable sulfur-containing polymer is obtained by performing cation ring-opening (co-)polymerization on the compound.
