titleOfInvention | Lubricant coating apparatus, process cartridge, and image forming apparatus |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applying device capable of applying a proper amount of a lubricant from the beginning of loading with the lubricant by preventing the following problem that even in an image forming apparatus using silica added toner made spherical and reduced in particle diameter, a predetermined coefficient of friction of a photoreceptor is not obtained owing to an insufficient applied amount of a lubricant when the lubricant is new, therefore filming is caused.
SOLUTION: In order that the surface roughness of a solid lubricant 162 to be abutted on a brush roller 161 is increased to ≥70 μm with respect to ten-point average roughness Rz at the time of loading, the contact surface is preliminarily processed with a metallic brush or a resin polishing brush. As compared with the case that the new solid lubricant 162 is abutted on the brush roller as usual, a surface part of the solid lubricant is easily scraped away, zinc stearate can be sufficiently supplied to a photoreceptor 5 from the beginning of use, filming is prevented and good image formation is made possible.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
