abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus having excellent fixing performance and stable cleaning performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic apparatus comprising: an electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 having a photosensitive layer on a support; a charging device 3; an exposure device; a developing device 5; a transfer device 6; a fixing device 8; and a cleaning device 7 for removing residual toner after transfer by allowing an elastic rubber blade to abut on the electrophotographic photoreceptor, the cleaning device is the elastic rubber blade, a contact angle of a surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor to deionized water is ≥90°, the developing device has a toner including at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, a wax concentration of an extract obtained by dispersing the toner in n-hexane at 23°C at a concentration of 15 mg/cm<SP>3</SP>and carrying out extraction for 1 min is in a range of 0.050-0.500 mg/cm<SP>3</SP>, an average circularity of particles whose circle-equivalent diameter is ≥3 μm in the toner is in a range of 0.920-0.950, and a linear pressure of the elastic rubber blade to the electrophotographic photoreceptor is in a range of 14.7-98.0 N/m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
