abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a lithographic printing plate which has excellent sensitivity, stain resistance and plate wear resistance equivalent to those of the support having an anodized film and in which a manufacturing cost can be reduced, and to provide a lithographic printing plate master. SOLUTION: The support for the lithographic printing plate comprises a layer obtained by coating a coating liquid containing alumina particles and a phosphoric acid as main components on a base having an aluminum surface, and preferably a hydrophilic layer containing a silicate compound and a hydrophilic resin. The lithographic printing plate master can be provided by providing an image forming layer containing a photothermal conversion agent on the support. |
