abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for seal rubber parts excellent in thermal aging resistance, weatherability and the like and capable of being molded in high speed to give the seal rubber parts excellent in low temperature flexibility and obtain a rubber composition for wiper blade rubber capable of being molded in high speed to give the wiper blades excellent in low temperature flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for seal rubber parts and wiper blade rubber comprises a random copolymer rubber, a vulcanizing agent and a filler. The copolymer rubber is produced by copolymerizing ethylene, propylene and 7-methyl-1,6-octadiene using a IVB group transition metal-based catalyst containing a specific IVB group transition metal catalyst component such as zirconium. The molar ratio of ethylene to propylene, the iodine value, the intrinsic viscosity [η], the intensity ratio of Tαβ to Tαα in a<SP>13</SP>C-NMR spectra, the B value expressing distribution states of each monomer and the glass transition temperature of the rubber are each in a specific range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
