titleOfInvention Display device
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having active elements capable of realizing low power consumption while keeping favorable display quality. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 2 is provided with scanning signal lines 31... for supplying scanning signals to gate electrodes 20... of TFT 14..., and data signal lines 32... for supplying data signals to data electrodes 24... of the TFT 14. Then, auxiliary capacitance electrode pads 27a... for forming the auxiliary capacitance and auxiliary capacitance wirings 33... are arranged so as almost not to be capacitance-coupled with the scanning signal lines 31.... In this state, a display rewrite frequency is set to 30 Hz or lower, for example, 6 Hz which is a tenth of 60 Hz, and a period for selecting each one of the scanning signal lines 31... is made to 0.7 msec, a non-selecting period is made to 166.3 msec. The pixels are driven so that the polarity of the data signals to be supplied to the data signal lines 32... is reversed by every scanning signal, and also a reversed data signal is inputted to each pixel every time when it is rewrittern.
