abstract Provided is a liquid container that prevents water adhering to the outer surface of a probe from entering the container when collecting a liquid from a liquid container having an upper end surface sealed by a septum. A liquid container 2 has an opening at an upper end surface thereof, a container body 4 having a space 4a for containing a liquid therein, and an opening at the upper end surface of the container body 4. A septum 6 made of an elastic material that can be penetrated by a probe inserted inside, and a water-absorbing water-absorbing member 8 that is provided immediately above the septum 6 and absorbs moisture on the upper surface of the septum 6.
