abstract | Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly water-soluble polymer containing a tyrosine compound as a constituent. Further, the present invention provides a method for producing a highly water-soluble polymer containing the tyrosine compound as a constituent. SOLUTION: A highly water-soluble tyrosine residue having a polymerization degree of 3 to 500 obtained by oxidatively polymerizing an oxidatively polymerizable compound containing a compound represented by the following general formula (1) and then hydrolyzing it.
