abstract Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fibrous substance, fibrous silica gel, Provided are a fibrous amorphous silica, a fibrous quartz, a fibrous cristobalite, and a production method thereof. SOLUTION: The raw material wollastonite is dispersed in water to form an aqueous dispersion slurry, and carbon dioxide gas is blown into the aqueous dispersion slurry to produce a fibrous silica gel. It is characterized by fibrous amorphous silica, fibrous quartz or fibrous cristobalite having a small surface area.
