titleOfInvention | Composite yarn |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain conjugate yarn capable of imparting function such as electric conductivity, antimicrobial and antifungal properties without deteriorating physical properties with an additive by arranging a water-soluble polyester in the outermost layer, a thermoplastic fiber-forming polymer in the middle layer and a polyurethane in the innermost layer. CONSTITUTION:This conjugate yarn is obtained by melting (A) a water-soluble polyester (component E) composed of (a) 5-20mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid (ester-forming derivative) having sulfonate, (b) >=55mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid (ester-forming derivative) except the component (a), (c) an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid (ester-forming derivative) and (d) an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (ester-forming derivative) as an acid component and >=50mol% ethylene glycol as a glycol component, (B) a thermoplastic fiber-forming polymer and (C) a polyurethane in separate extruders, leading the melt to a conjugate spinneret, spinning and drawing the resultant yarn. The ratio of the components expressed in terms of fiber cross-sectional area ratio is 2-50% component (A) in the outermost layer, 2-15% component (B) in the middle layer and 43-93% component (C) in the innermost layer. |
