| abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic, having excellent stability in addition to improved feeling of use (smoothness and moistness), by blending a composite powder containing organic powder, inorganic powder and/or metallic powder in a powder consisting of a water-swellable clay mineral with other ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic, obtained by blending 0.1-80wt.% composite powder, containing (B) one or more powders selected from organic powder, such as polyamide polymer having preferably <=0.5mum average particle diameter, inorganic powder, such as titanium dioxide, or metallic powder, such as aluminum powder, in an amount of 0.1-80wt.% based on the total composite powder in (A) a powder consisting of a water-swellable clay mineral, such as montmorillonite, and having about 2-30mum particle diameter in the cosmetic and having the above-mentioned effects. Although the afore-mentioned composite powder is prepared by an optional method, it is most readily prepared by spray- drying an aqueous dispersion of the powders (B) and (A). Thereby a spherical powder having a uniform shape and diameter of particles is obtained. |
