abstract | The present invention relates to cannabidiol (CBD)-type cannabinoid compounds for use as pharmaceuticals. Cannabidiol-C1 (CBD-C1), a CBD-type cannabinoid, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid that can be present in trace amounts in cannabis plants. Additionally, five cannabinoids can be produced by synthetic means and methods for producing CBD-C1 are described herein. In addition, disclosed herein are data demonstrating the efficacy of CBD-C1 in disease models. |
