The present invention relates to the field of diagnostic immunology. Means and methods are provided for leukocyte subsetting based on multiparameter cytometry that are advantageously used for monitoring the immune status of a subject and/or for monitoring the efficacy of immunomodulatory treatments. Among other things, reagent compositions are provided comprising an antibody conjugated to a detectable label, the conjugated antibody directed against a combination of the following markers: CD141, HLA-DR, CD16, CD33, CD300e, CD303 and CD14, where CD300e and CD303 may be conjugated to the same label.
