It has a high reflectance (> 30%) in a specific region of the electromagnetic spectrum such as ultraviolet (<400 nm), visible (Vis, 400 nm to 700 nm), or near-infrared radiation region (NIR, 700-2000 nm), and is electromagnetic. A polymer composite photonic crystal material is disclosed as a coating having a relatively low reflectance (<20% reflectance) in a second different region of the spectrum. Surprisingly, it has been found that the formulation and additive approaches can selectively alter the optical properties of polymer composite photonic crystal films from a variety of different coating methods, including spray deposition. |
