Isolation and detection of exosome-related microbiomes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes |
abstract |
The present invention provides a method of predicting, diagnosing, and prognosing a disease in a patient by analyzing the microbiota signatures present in isolated exosomes. In one embodiment, a method for detecting a microbiome in a patient is provided, wherein the method is (a) obtaining a body fluid sample from the patient; (b) isolating the exosome fraction of the body fluid sample; and ( c) Includes detection of microbial macromolecules present in the exosome fraction. |
