abstract In the context of biofouling prevention, a device 1 is provided that includes an object 10 and a light emission system 20 disposed on at least the main surface 11a of the object 10. The light emission system 20 includes a plurality of light sources 21 for emitting biological antifouling light, and is configured to emit light in a direction away from the object 10. The light source 21 is arranged within the light emission system 20 as at least two different light emission groups 22 having each main radiation direction 23 of the biofouling prevention light, and the main radiation direction 23 of at least two light emission groups 22 is light. It has a different spatial orientation when viewed on the unfolded and flattened region of the main surface 11a where the radiation group 22 is located. As a result, the area reached by the biofouling protection light during the operation of device 1 can be adjusted to specific requirements.
