titleOfInvention Compositions with improved low temperature performance, electrodes, lead acid batteries
abstract Suitable compositions for the negative electrode plate of lead acid batteries are (a) lead-based active material; (b) at least one material selected from the group consisting of lignosulfonate and barium sulfate; and (c1) 90 m 2 /. Carbon black particles with a Brunauer emmet teller (BET) surface area of g or more and 900 m 2 / g or less, and an oil adsorption amount (OAN) of 150 mL / 100 g or more and 300 mL / 100 g or less, or (c2) 40 m 2 / g. It contains carbon black particles and graphene particles having a BET surface area of 500 m 2 / g or less. The composition has a theoretical negative electrode active material (NAM) BET surface area of 0.75 m 2 / g or more and 2 m 2 / g or less. The composition can be used for electrodes, such as electrodes used in lead acid batteries.
