titleOfInvention | Hybrid x-ray and photodetector |
abstract | The present invention relates to an image pickup detector. In order to provide a hybrid X-ray and an optical detector with enhanced optical imaging capability and a simple design, an imaging detector for capturing optical imaging data and X-ray imaging data is provided. The imaging detector includes a substrate, a photosensitive sensor, an X-ray scintillator, and an array of optical component configurations. The photosensitive sensor includes sensor pixels distributed across the imaging detector. The X-ray scintillator is configured to convert the energy of incident X-ray radiation into optical photons. Each optical component configuration includes at least one optical component configured to direct incident light radiation to the photosensitive sensor. Sensor pixels include optical pixels, each optical pixel receiving incident light radiation, thereby being coupled with its respective optical component configuration to generate optical imaging data. Sensor pixels include X-ray pixels that are coupled with an X-ray scintillator to receive the converted photons and thereby generate X-ray imaging data. |
