abstract | An object of the present invention is to obtain high-quality image data in which clutter components are reduced by moving object imaging. According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an extractor and a detector. The extraction unit extracts, from the received signal, a nonlinear component of a received signal obtained from an ultrasonic contrast medium moving as a bubble injected into a blood vessel of a subject. The detector uses the nonlinear component to detect the projection component of the movement of the echo source in the beam direction as a signal component having phase rotation between time-series pulse echoes obtained at the same depth.
