titleOfInvention Method for regenerating water softener
abstract A method for regenerating a water softening device is provided that requires a short regenerating process even if the amount of consumption of a chelating agent is small. A method for regenerating a water softener 10 comprises a water softening tank 12 containing a weakly acidic cation exchange resin, an electrolytic tank 14 generating acidic electrolyzed water, and reclaimed water preparation for supplying reclaimed water used for reclaiming treatment. Using the water softening device 10 provided with the unit 130 and the chelating agent sustained release unit 78 for slowly releasing the chelating agent to the reclaimed water preparation unit, the regeneration treatment is performed in the first regeneration step and following the first regeneration step. The first regeneration step is a step of using the first reclaimed water 301 composed of the acidic electrolyzed water generated in the electrolytic cell 14 as the reclaimed water, and the second regeneration step is a step of using the reclaimed water 2 is a step of using the second reclaimed water 302 containing a chelating agent that chelates the hardness component.
