abstract | [PROBLEMS] To provide a polyglycerol fatty acid ester that can be used to obtain a cosmetic having a superior feel when used. The polyglycerin has a hydroxyl value of 1400 or less, and the constituent fatty acid is at least one selected from the group consisting of monocarboxylic acids and derivatives thereof, and selected from the group consisting of polycarboxylic acids and derivatives thereof. The esterification rate of all constituent fatty acids with respect to the polyglycerin is 30 to 70%, and the esterification rate of polycarboxylic acids and derivatives thereof with respect to the polyglycerin is 2 to 8%. A polyglycerin fatty acid ester having a loss elastic modulus of 1% or more and a stress of 5000 Pa or more at the maximum point of a composition in which 5% is added to paraffin.
