Kind Code: A1 A power storage element includes an electrode body 10 in which positive electrodes 11a and 11b having positive electrode active material layers and negative electrodes 12a and 12b having negative electrode active material layers are superimposed with a separator 13 interposed therebetween, an electrolytic solution, and the electrodes. The negative electrode active material layer contains graphite, the separator is a wet separator, and the thickness of the electrode body in a discharged state is equal to the thickness of the electrode body in the container.
